Our Process

01

Consultation

We discuss your aircraft, review photos, paint logs, and documentation. We identify the exact scope and build a plan.

02

Color Sourcing

We source exact OEM paint formulas, contact the original paint shop if needed, or build a custom match through our local suppliers.

03

Execution

Removable components come to our shop. On-site work is scheduled at your hangar or FBO. Every surface is prepped, primed, and finished to spec.

04

Delivery

Final inspection, documentation, and return. Components are shipped or hand-delivered. Your aircraft leaves looking like it just rolled out of the factory.

Speak Your Language

Cowling
The removable cover over the engine compartment. Equivalent to the hood on an automobile. Secured with Dzus (quarter-turn) fasteners.
Fuselage
The main body of the aircraft — everything between the engine and the tail. The largest painted surface on the plane.
Horizontal Stabilizer
The small "wings" at the tail. These control pitch (nose up/down) and are often first to show stone chips and leading edge wear.
Vertical Stabilizer
The upright fin at the tail. Often where registration numbers and custom graphics are applied.
Fairings
Smooth covers that reduce drag where components meet — wheel pants, wing root fairings, strut fairings. Frequently fiberglass, frequently chipped.
Leading Edge
The front edge of any wing or stabilizer surface. Takes the most impact from debris, rain, and insects. The area most likely to need paint correction.
Livery
The overall paint scheme and graphic design of an aircraft. Includes base color, accent stripes, registration marks, and any custom graphics.
FBO
Fixed Base Operator — the service facility at an airport that handles fuel, hangar space, and ground services. Where on-site work is coordinated.

Payment Terms & Service Agreement

All clients are required to review and sign our Payment Terms & Service Agreement prior to any work being performed. A signed copy will be provided at the time of authorization. The following is a summary of our terms.

1. Payment Structure

75% deposit is due upon signing the service agreement and before any work begins. This covers all materials and the majority of labor.

25% balance is due before the release of any component (shop work), before work commences on the scheduled day (on-site work), or before return shipment (remote clients).

Nothing is released, shipped, or returned until the balance is paid in full.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

Square (credit/debit) is our primary payment processor. We also accept Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, Cash, Personal & Corporate Checks, ACH Transfers, Wire Transfers, and Cryptocurrency (including Bitcoin). A receipt is issued for every transaction. Payments may be processed under Automotive Solutions Nashville LLC.

3. Estimates & Pricing

All estimates are provided in good faith. Final pricing is determined at invoicing and may vary due to material costs, unforeseen conditions, or additional requested work. The Company does not provide line-item parts breakdowns.

4. No Refunds

All sales are final. The Company does not issue refunds under any circumstances. At our sole discretion, we may offer a house credit toward future services. House credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and expire 12 months from issuance.

5. Non-Payment & Lien Authorization

No vehicle, aircraft, component, or property will be released until all balances are paid in full.

If the Client takes possession of any property prior to full payment — by any means, for any reason — the Client grants the Company a lien against said property and/or any other personal property to secure payment of all amounts owed. This authorization is granted voluntarily and in advance as a condition of the agreement.

Balances unpaid beyond 30 days incur a late fee of 1.5% per month. In the event of legal action or collections, the Client is responsible for all attorney’s fees, court costs, and collection costs.

6. Cancellations

Cancellation before work begins: deposit converts to house credit minus a 15% administrative fee. No cash refund.

Cancellation after work has commenced: full deposit is forfeited. Additional charges may apply for materials and labor beyond the deposit.

7. Warranty

12-month workmanship warranty covering defects in application, adhesion, and craftsmanship under normal use. Does not cover impact damage, negligence, chemical or environmental exposure, or third-party modifications. Warranty is limited to re-performance of the original service only. No cash refunds, reimbursements, or third-party repair costs will be paid under any claim.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Company is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from services performed. The Company does not provide compensation, reimbursement, or payment of any kind for any claim, regardless of fault.

The Client’s sole remedy is warranty re-performance as described above. Any claims beyond warranty must be directed to the Client’s own insurance carrier.

9. Property Abandonment

Property remaining at our facility for more than 30 days after notification of completion, without payment or pickup arrangements, will be considered abandoned. Storage fees of $50.00 per day apply beginning on day 31. The Company reserves all rights under Tennessee law regarding abandoned property.

10. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Davidson County, Tennessee.

A complete Payment Terms & Service Agreement will be provided for signature prior to the start of any project. The above is a summary for your reference. By engaging Southern Flight Works for any service, you acknowledge awareness of these terms.
